John Tyler Wines / Bacigalupi Vineyards |
The John Tyler name represents the union of two families who have been involved for more than five decades in the winemaking and grape-growing tradition. Combining years of viticulture experience with a fresh outlook on the art of wine making, John Bacigalupi and Tyler Heck are taking the wine industry in a new direction.
For almost half a century the Bacigalupi family has grown grapes and sold fruit to some of the areas most respected wineries. Initial awareness of the vineyard’s superb quality came in 1976 when Chateau Montelena’s Chardonnay won the renowned Paris tasting with fruit that was purchased from the Bacigalupi vineyards.
Now John Bacigalupi, son of Charles and Helen and his nephew Tyler Heck have joined ventured talents to produce their own wines from the Bacigalupi’s fruit.
